Two people have been confirmed dead in a fatal accident after a lorry lost control and hit pedestrians in Dundori, Nakuru County.
The lorry which was carrying logs lost control and veered off the road on Friday September 20. Two other people were injured in the accident.
In images and videos seen by The Kenya Times, the lorry white in color had overturned on the roadside and lies on its side.
In the background, a crowd of bystanders had gathered observing the aftermath of the incident.
Police were yet to issue a report on the same by the time of publishing.
Two People Injured in Nakuru Accident
Meanwhile, those injured were rushed to the nearest hospital with the deceased taken to the mortuary awaiting identification and a subsequent postmortem.
Moments after the accident, police officers swiftly arrived at the scene and cordoned off the area to secure it.

According to witnesses, the lorry reportedly lost control before veering off the road, tragically knocking down pedestrians.
Two Other People Killed in Kisii
The accident occurred hours after two people died following a tragic road accident in Kisii County.
According to police reports, the accident occurred along the Keroka-Masimba highway, claiming the lives of two young men.
The victims, who were riding a bodaboda, lost their lives after their motorcycle collided head-on with a lorry.
However, the driver of the ill-fated lorry fled the scene of the accident, leaving the two victims for dead.
Officers from Masimba quickly arrived, processed the scene, and transported the bodies to Keroka Hospital mortuary.
A manhunt has been launched to locate the lorry driver, as authorities intensify efforts to bring him to justice.

These incidences come just days after another road accident along the Nakuru-Eldoret Highway left 11 passengers injured on Saturday, September 14.
In that accident, a lorry collided with a 14-seater Public Service Vehicle (PSV) in the Twin Bridge area.
Rescue teams from the Kenya Red Cross and Kenya police responded swiftly, rushing the injured passengers to Molo Sub-County Hospital for treatment.
NTSA Statistics on 2024 Accidents
According to the latest data from the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA), road accidents across the country have claimed at least 3,056 lives between January 1 and August 27, 2024.
This marks an increase of 146 deaths compared to the 2,910 recorded in the same period in 2023.
Since the beginning of the year, 7,114 Kenyans have been involved in road accidents, marking an increase of 703 compared to last year, 3674 were seriously injured and 585 suffered from minor injuries.
Pedestrians have recorded the highest number of deaths in road accidents since the start of the year, according to the Authority.
