Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Kenya Limited reported strong financial results for the year ended 31 December 2024. The group’s net profit after tax reached Ksh 7.64 billion, compared to Ksh 6.88 billion in 2023.
The bank reported a net profit of Ksh 5.31 billion. Its total operating income rose to Ksh 41.43 billion, while operating expenses amounted to Ksh 30.16 billion.
Shareholders
According to Pitchbook as of April 2021, the DTB Group showed that the Aga Khan Fund for Economic Development S.A. was the largest shareholder in Diamond Trust Bank (DTB) Kenya, holding a 16.50% stake. Habib Bank Limited followed closely with a 16.15% share.
Additionally, the Jubilee Insurance Company of Kenya Limited owned 7.86%, while Stanbic Nominees LTD (Account NR1873738) held 2.89%.
Acacia Partners L.P. owned 2.64%, and Standard Chartered Nominees (Account KE004667) had a 2.54% share. Moreover, Jubilee Holdings Limited held 2.08%, followed by The Diamond Jubilee Investment Trust (U) Limited at 1.37%. Tropical Veterinary Services Limited had a 1.00% stake, and Kenya Inland Ports Enterprises Limited rounded out the list with 0.67%.
Collectively, these top ten shareholders accounted for 53.71% of the bank’s total ownership.
