Jambojet in partnership with the Kenya Tourism Board launched a three-month campaign dubbed “#TembeaKenya” “#NowTravelReady” to encourage more local tourists to visit the Kenyan local attractions sites and destinations.
The aviation market in Kenya has seen remarkable signs of recovery this year, garnering up to 94 per-cent of pre-Covid-19 local travel, in 2019. Moreover, Kenya portrays a travel cycle consisting of a high season which is usually during public and school holidays whereas the low season starts in the month of May to around July.
“As we enter the low season in travel, we have partnered with the Kenya Tourism Board for a three-month consumer campaign to encourage over 8,000 domestic travel,” said Jambojet Managing Director Mr. Karanja Ndegwa.
According to Ndegwa, their partnership with Kenya Tourism Board unites the government of Kenya and hotels in the different destinations where Jambojet offers all-inclusive flying packages which will comprise of discounted air tickets and accommodation.
In addition, some hotels were forced to close and even reduce capacity during the low season, whereas airlines operated at reduced frequencies.
Moreover, during the campaign period, Jambojet and Kenya Tourism Board will be looking at ways of boosting Kenya’s domestic traffic, especially after the lift on COVID 19 – related restrictions. Also, more Kenyans have started to embrace travel normalcy.
Furthermore, in the campaign deals, solo travelers, explorers, and families will for the three momnths’ period enjoy discounted flying-hotel packages available across major cities and towns in Kenya that Jambojet flies to; For instance; Nairobi, Mombasa, Eldoret, Kisumu, Malindi, Ukunda, and Lamu.
