The Registrar of Companies Damaris Lukwo has announced the intended dissolution of 300 companies under the Companies Act.
In a gazette notice issued on January 2, the Registrar of Companies stated that the names of the companies listed will be struck off the Register of Companies three months from the date of publication, unless evidence is provided that they are actively carrying on business or operations.
“Pursuant to section 894 (3) of the companies Act, the Registrar of Companies gives notice that the names of the companies specified hereunder shall be struck off from the Register of Companies at the expiry of three months from the date of publication of this Notice, and invites any person to show cause why the companies should not be struck off from the Register of Companies,” read part of the gazette notice.
Registrar of Companies Issues Notice of Intended Company Dissolutions
The list of companies facing intended dissolution is extensive and covers a wide range of industries.
The technology and data sector includes companies listed for intended dissolution such as Adaptive Data Solutions Ltd, Add-Venture Data Solutions Limited, and Adashlink Technologies Limited.
Within the construction and engineering sector, the affected companies are Adawe Construction Co. Limited, Adecco Construction and Supplies Company Limited, and Adb Global Matrix Engineers and Contractors Limited.
The aviation sector includes Adastra Aviation Limited and A-D Aviation (Aircharter) Limited.
Consultancy and marketing companies listed for dissolution include Adar Consultancy Company Limited and Adapt Marketing Limited.
