Mövenpick Hotel is a five-star hotel located in Westlands, Nairobi, Kenya, at Mkungu Close, off Parklands Road. It sits in Nairobi’s commercial, retail, and entertainment suburb, approximately 20 km from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.

Mövenpick Nairobi Hotel is famous for its 360-degree revolving restaurant, offering panoramic views of the Nairobi skyline and considered the best 360-degree views in Nairobi.

The Mövenpick Hotel & Residences Nairobi property was developed and owned by Golf Course Hotel (K) Ltd., a regional real estate developer, from 2015 through its opening in April 2018, and Golf Course Hotel (K) Ltd. continues to own it today.

Mövenpick brand was founded in 1948 by Swiss entrepreneur Ueli Prager in Switzerland. In 1997, Prince Alwaleed acquired 27% of the company, and by 2003, Kingdom Holding Company (Saudi Arabia) held 33.3% while Mövenpick Holding retained 66.7%.

In April 2018, French hospitality giant AccorHotels signed an agreement to acquire Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts for CHF 560 million ($565 million).

The acquisition was completed in September 2018, when AccorHotels obtained 100% ownership of the brand and its 84 hotels globally.
