Meanwhile, Amenya on September 8 revealed that an officer from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) Special Crime Unit sent a letter to his company Afrinet Carbon regarding the JKIA -Adani deal.
At the same time, Kisii Senator Richard Onyonka raised concerns about attempts by the government to silence the whistleblower regarding the controversial planned takeover of JKIA by the Indian company Adani.
Onyonka alleges that the DCI requested several documents from Amenya, the CEO of Afrinet Carbon Limited, under the pretense of investigating computer fraud.
He argues that this move is aimed at intimidating Amenya for his role in exposing the suspicious deal.
