Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Nairobi Arboretum is a 5‑star hotel-and-residence complex on Arboretum Park Lane, adjacent to the Nairobi Arboretum and close to State House and the UN/embassy belt.

This multi-billion-shilling property operates under the Radisson Hotel Group brand (Radisson Blu) and is managed as part of its African portfolio; day‑to‑day operations are run by the hotel management company appointed by the asset owner.

Brains Behind Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Nairobi Arboretum

Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Nairobi Arboretum was developed as a $24.6 million (Nearly 4 billion) eco-friendly city resort by Leisure Park Development.

The project was designed by Ezra Architects and Rakhee Kantaria, while Kristina Zanic Consultants and Rakhee Kantaria handled the interior design.

This hotel’s construction was completed in October 2019, before the property was officially opened on January 30, 2020, during a launch attended by senior tourism officials and business leaders.

Radisson Blu was introduced as Radisson Hotel Group’s first internationally branded extended-stay property in Nairobi, expanding the brand’s presence alongside its existing hotels in Upper Hill and Westlands.

The development was undertaken by Leisure Park Development, a company linked to the Kantaria family, whose business interests also include Prime Bank and investments in Kenya’s real estate and hospitality sectors.

Why the Forest-Side Hotel Has Become One of Nairobi’s Most Recognizable Luxury Destinations

Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Nairobi Arboretum is best known for its location next to the 120-hectare Nairobi Arboretum, a forest reserve with more than 300 tree species and 100 bird species, earning it the reputation of a forest-side luxury hotel.

The property is also recognized for offering a quiet, green setting close to State House, Nairobi’s central business district, the United Nations offices, and the city’s diplomatic zone.

Its accommodation combines hotel rooms with serviced residences, featuring residential-style amenities such as balconies and, in selected units, kitchenettes, making it popular with long-stay business travelers.

The hotel is home to FireLake Restaurant, an American grill-inspired dining concept with African influences, introduced as the first of its kind under the Radisson brand in Africa.

Guests also associate the property with its infinity pool, spa, fitness center, sauna and steam room, while its eco-friendly features, including a rooftop beehive and herb garden, reflect its sustainability focus.

Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence: Prime Location and Luxury Amenities

Radisson Blu Hotel & Residence, Nairobi Arboretum is located off Arboretum Road near State House Road, adjacent to the Nairobi Arboretum in one of the city’s green, low-density neighborhoods.

The hotel is approximately 2.4 kilometers from Nairobi’s city center, about 20 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport via the Nairobi Expressway, and about 15 minutes from Wilson Airport.

Facilities include an outdoor infinity pool, a full-service spa, a fitness center, a sauna, a steam room, massage services, and dedicated meeting and conference spaces.

The hotel also offers free Wi-Fi and parking, with check-in from 2:00 p.m. and check-out by noon.
