Safaricom Plc shares have hit an all-time low of Ksh11.50 according to the latest Nairobi Securities Exchange results.
The latest value of the telecom’s shares was announced at the end of the Nairobi Securities Exchange trading week that closed on November 3rd.
Consequently, this represents a drop in share prices of 3.7 percent since Safaricom’s’ shares were valued at Kshs.12.10 at the end of the previous trading week that ended on 27th of October.
Safaricom has recorded a continuous drop in share prices from the beginning of the year, now experiencing a 53.16 percent drop in stock prices.
At the beginning of the year 2023, shares at Safaricom were valued at Kshs.24.15. However, from October 4 to date, Safaricom has lost 20% of its stock’s value.
Safaricom Share Volume Traded
Notably, the telecoms company is the number one biggest seller of shares in the NSE for the period of August 7th to November 3.
Concurrently, Safaricom was able to sell 5,888,700 shares for the trading week ended on November 3rd.
This is in comparison to the total shares traded on the NSE which totaled at 9,245,900Â shares.

Likewise, Safaricom pays dividends to shareholders in March of every year.
Other companies that dominated the selling of shares in the Nairobi Securities Exchange were Kengen, CIC, KCB Bank, and Co-operative Bank.

Companies Whose Share Prices Have Dropped
More companies that lost share value as recorded by the Nairobi Securities Exchange include beverage company Sasini Tea. The share value rested at Kshs.19.80 at the end of the week of November 3rd.Â
Notably, this was a drop of 10 percent from the previous share prices of Ksh.24.
Additionally, Eveready was among the losers of the previous trading week. Its shares sold at Kshs.1.20.
This dropped by 7.69 percent from the previous share price of Ksh1.25.
Kenyan based holding company, Olympia Capital Holdings was also registered as a loser in the stocks exchange.
Its shares stood at Kshs.3 which represented a loss of value of 5.96 percent.
Gainers in the NSE
However, it was not all doom and gloom. Gainers at the NSE include Sameer Africa which registered a rise in stock prices of 8.92 percent.
This was after closing the trading week at Kshs.2.32.
Similarly, CIC insurance group closed the trading week with their share prices at Ksh.2.20 which was an 8.91 percent gain in value.

The STANLIB Fahari I-REIT was also a gainer after registering a gain of 8.54 percent. The company’s shares were valued at Ksh.6.10 by the end of trading week closed on November 3rd.
Further, Centum Investment Company gained by 7.14 percent with shares selling at Kshs.9 per unit.
Finally, Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) gained by 5.8 percent with shares selling at Ksh.1.46.
