Cold Areas in Kenya
- Nakuru
Nakuru is located at a high altitude in the Great Rift Valley and experiences cooler temperatures.

It has an annual low temperature of 11.23ºC, with its coldest month in July with a temperature of 10.14 ºC, and its wettest month being April.
- Nanyuki and Nyandarua
It is located near the base of Mount Kenya. Nanyuki is a high-altitude town, and it is usually chilly at night.

Nanyuki has an annual low temperature of 10.44ºC, with its coldest month in the first part of the year at a temperature of 8.91ºC, and its wettest month is April.
- Nyeri
Nyeri is in the central highlands, close to Mount Kenya. It has an annual low temperature of 11.0ºC.
Its coldest month is July, with a temperature of 9.82ºC, and its wettest month is April.

Eldoret City, situated in the Rift Valley region, is also known for its cool climate due to its high altitude.

Areas around Mount Kenya, especially at higher altitudes like the Aberdare Ranges or Naro Moru, are among the coldest in the country.
Temperatures can go as low as 7.5 °C, with heavy rainfall from mid-March to June.
- Kisii
Kisii, located in the Southwestern part of Kenya, experiences a cooler climate compared to many other regions of the country.
The highlands experience its coldest season in July with a temperature of 14.29ºC, with its wettest month in April.

Meru County is located at a relatively high altitude and experiences cooler temperatures, especially in the evenings and early mornings.
The county experiences its coldest seasons in the first quarter of the year with an average temperature of 11.54ºC and its wettest month in April.
- Kericho
Kericho is in the highlands west of the Kenyan Rift Valley near Mau Forest. It has an annual low temperature of 11.23ºC, with its coldest month in July and its wettest month being April.
