A 50-year-old woman was hacked to death by unknown people at her home in Giting’a village in Ndia, Kirinyaga County.
The victim identified as Leah Murage was found lying in a pool of blood at her main gate by her neighbors on Wednesday, June 29 at night.
The area residents reported that, upon hearing her wailing, they rushed to the scene of the 8pm incident. They then rushed her to Kerugoya Hospital where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
“She might have been stabbed by a sharp object like a kitchen knife over five times,” one of her neighbors stated.

Moreover, the deceased’s sister said Murage live alone in her house as her two children are university students.
Furthermore, while confirming the gruesome incident, Ndia Sub-county police commander, David Kabena, reported that police have launched probe into the matter to establish who killed the 50-year-old woman.
The Ms Murage’s lifeless body now lies at Kerugoya Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
