The Kenya Power and Lighting Company (KPLC) has announced planned power interruptions across various Nairobi estates, with daily outages expected this week due to transformer maintenance.

In a statement on September 15, KPLC said that the affected areas will include Roysambu and Githurai, where KPLC is carrying out the Boresha Roysambu exercise.

According to the utility, the exercise will run from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. until Saturday.

The company added that the transformer maintenance work aims to maintain the electricity network and address issues that could affect power supply in the affected areas.

KPLC has asked residents to be patient as its teams carry out the maintenance work.

Customers can report power-related incidents by dialing *977# or using the myPower App.
