The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has gazetted Members of Parliament Elected from the 286 constituencies.
In a gazette notice, IEBC published the 286 elected members with their names alongside the number of votes they garnered in the last week’s polls.
However, the notice excludes four constituencies where elections are slated for Monday next week,
They include Kitui rural, Rongai, Kacheliba and Pokot south.
“The IEBC hereby declares that the persons whose names are listed in the schedule hereunder were elected as Members of the National Assembly having received the majority of the votes cast in the election held 9th August, 2022 and complied with the provisions of the Elections Act, 2011 and the Constitution,” reads the notice.
After gazettement, MPs will now await swearing in
The swearing in will be the first order of the house once President Uhuru Kenyatta convenes the first sitting of the new parliament.

After being sworn in, parliament will elect it speaker and deputy speaker
IEBC also gazetted the names of all members of county assemblies who were elected
County assemblies are set to hold their first session after the swearing in of county governors
