The Kenya Railways headquarters in Nairobi will house the new office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary.
The new position was created by President William Ruto when he named his inaugural Cabinet.
Ruto nominated ANC Party leader Musalia Mudavadi to hold the office.
On Thursday, through his first Executive Order,the President directed that Mudavadi’s office be at the Railway headquarters.
The move by Ruto brought to an end speculation that the Amani National Congress party leader would occupy Harambee House Annex.
It had been rumoured that Mudavadi would inherit the Harambee Annex office which houses the office of the Deputy President.
The office of the Prime Cabinet Secretary will be under the Executive Office of the President.
The Executive Office of the President will also have the Office of the President and that of the Deputy President.
The President’s office is at the Harambee House while the DP is housed at Harambee House Annex.
The President and his deputy also operate from the State House and Karen residence, respectively, as their offices.
The Executive order also defined roles of the three offices as well as departments that will fall under each office
