Sauti Sol’s lead singer Bien Aime has launched a scathing attack on comedian Eric Omondi after he made salty remarks about the Kenyan music industry.
The Kenya Times understands Eric Omondi has taken to his Instagram account and threw shade at Kenyan artists for lagging behind as Nigerian music rent the air at home.
Eric’s attack was sparked by the recently updated Top 100 Kenyan Apple Music chart which had a low number of Kenyan music.
What infuriated Eric Omondi was the fact that 89 songs on the list were Nigerian, nine from America and only two were Kenyan.
“So top 89 songs on Kenya Apple Music are Nigerian, 9 are American and only 2 are Kenyan. When I tell you to shut up and listen when I talk you think it is a joke. You will stay in that position until the day you listen to me! Wake up!” Eric Omondi wrote.
His sentiments did not amuse Bien Aime who retaliated with an equally mean subliminal.
The Sauti Sol member asked Eric Omondi why he is yet to feature on Netflix Comedy Special if indeed he is as talented as he claims.
Bien urged Eric to focus on growing the comedy industry which is in its deathbed instead of focusing on music, which is not his forte.

“Because where is your Netflix Comedy Special. Or whatever metric they use to measure success in comedy. You take out your steam on music whole comedy is on its deathbed. Useless burukenge.” Bien fumed.
Away from Eric and Burn’s fight, the rating for Kenyan music on the Top 100 Kenyans Apple Music did not impress many including locals themselves.
Nigerians had a field day picking and mocking Kenyan musicians, with public figures such as Don Jazzy hitting our stars under the belt.
