Celebrated Kenyan news anchor Gladys Mungai has dropped hints that she may just have landed her dream job.
Gladys Mungai, a revered Swahili news anchor at KBC Channel One recently left her fans and social media followers at crossroads after sharing a video of herself receiving “Presidential Treatment”.
Well, Gladys Mungai on Monday, December 6, posted a video of herself walking towards a states registered vehicle, leaving most of her fans wondering if she had finally bagged the prestigious government job she has always been eyeing, with the aim of shaping the country in the best way possible.
On her caption, Gladys Mungai, dropped even more hints on her possible new government role.
She did not disclose what she was upto exactly but the caption gave out the impression she went for what she wanted and actually got it.
“Step up, serve and be consistent,” she wrote.
The Kenya Times reached out to Gladys Mungai for her confirmation but she assured this writer she will soon make a public announcement and that she cannot disclose much about her current, rather latest developments.
“The time to disclose anything is not ripe yet. I will soon talk to my people and tell them about the wins we have achieved and our plans to better their lives, especially women, youths and children,” Gladys told The Kenya Times on phone.
Gladys Mungai’s appointment, if true, will not come as a surprise to many as she has been working so hard towards it, through her NGO, Gladys Mungai Foundation.

The journalist has in a number of times taken to social media to plead with former President Uhuru Kenyatta and even the current one, William Ruto to consider her for the Youth and Gender docket in their government as there is a lot she can to better lives.
Apart from anchoring news on KBC, Gladys Mungai is a philanthropist who has been ensuring children are protected, women empowered and youth elevated through various socio economic projects.
Gladys Mungai has always promised to fill the gaps and make Kenya a safer space and tolerable for everyone.
