On Monday, September 26, the interwebs were awash with reports that former Citizen TV news anchor Jackie Maribe had landed a new job at DP Rigathi Gachagua’s office.
Earlier reports had indicated the Maribe had been appointed the Director Of Communications at the Office Of The Deputy President.
Well, the aforementioned were recently dismissed by Jacque Maribe who vehemently denied she had been appointed for the role.
Taking to social media, Jacque Maribe thanked everyone who called and texted her following the rumours as she made it clear that she is not the DOC at the ODP.
“I am not the Director Of Communications at the Deputy President’s Office. Thank you for the well wishes, calls and texts. Mambo ya God,” she wrote.
News of her appointment had earlier been received with mixed reaction with quite a multitude of people condemning it.

While some Kenyans noted she rightly deserved the position, many insisted she only for the appointment thanks to her relationship with Dennis Itumbi.
Prior to the latest rumour, Jacque Maribe had taken a hiatus from social media.
It was recently reported that her family had been advised to keep a closer watch on her since she has depicted signs of a depressed person.
According to unconfirmed reports, the family was advised that she should not be left alone since she seemed suicidal.
