Kapngetuny High School is a public boys’ boarding secondary school located in Uasin Gishu County.
The institution is classified as a C2 category school, formerly known as an Extra-County school, under the Ministry of Education’s revised institutional classification.
It offers secondary education within the national framework and draws learners from its host region and surrounding areas.
In line with ongoing education reforms, Kapngetuny Boys High School transitioned into the senior school structure under the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework.
From January 2026, the school began admitting Grade 10 learners, offering specialised pathways in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics), Social Sciences, and Arts and Sports, in accordance with the CBE structure.
Admissions into the senior school from January 2026 are determined by learner performance in the Kenya Junior Secondary Education Assessment (KJSEA).
