Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang and Chanelle Kittony celebrated their traditional wedding ceremony (CHAIK) on Saturday, November 1, in a ceremony marked by elegance, color, and tradition.
Despite the rain, guests arrived in style to celebrate the couple in a grand tent setup that accommodated hundreds of guests.
The event, themed purple, radiated glamour and cultural pride, with Kalenjin traditional wedding songs filling the air.
The groom stunned in a purple and white outfit, while the bride dazzled in a purple corset dress, perfectly complementing the occasion’s theme.
Additionally, the bride graced the occasion in a stunning gown with a long, flowing tail that added a touch of elegance and grandeur to the ceremony.
The bridal team, dressed in elegant purple attire, marched down the aisle with infectious energy, setting a lively tone for the celebration.
The ceremony drew notable guests, including President William Ruto, Minister for Security in Uganda Jim Muhwezi, National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula, Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi, Senator Ledama Olekina, legislators, and entertainers Mulamwah and Dem wa Facebook, among others.
Channelle Kittony currently serves as the County Executive Committee Member for Public Works, Roads, and Infrastructure in Trans Nzoia County.
She is the daughter of Radio Africa Group Chairman Kiprono Kittony and the granddaughter of former Senator and Maendeleo ya Wanawake Organization (MYWO) chairperson Zipporah Kittony.

“We are honoured to see Chanelle do the right thing today,” he said. “We have security guards and German Shepherds, but Allan still made it through. I saw him on CCTV and wondered whether it was the right thing — but we have given you our daughter without blemish, so take good care of her.”
