Former president Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday, December 7, 2024, attended the wedding of former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka‘s daughter Damarie Saada.
Musyoka’s daughter Damarie Saada wedded the love of her life, Martin Nyaga, in a lavish wedding ceremony held in Naivasha, Nakuru county.
Kalonzo shared the photos while thanking Uhuru for attending the lavish wedding, with the two being spotted chatting away during the service.
“I thank President Uhuru Kenyatta for his friendship and solidarity with my family by attending the wedding ceremony of our daughter Damarie Saada and Martin Nyaga this afternoon in Naivasha,” he said.
In other photos, the politician’s daughter looked stunning in her white wedding held at garden and attended by society’s elite.
Notable attendees included former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, former Baringo senator Gideon Moi, and Senator Enoch Wambua, among others
Kalonzo on the other hand walked her down the aisle, and a veil covered her face right before her groom Nyaga removed it to see her stunning face.
The dotting father was a proud dad, and he looked sharp in a tight-fitting suit. The politician gave his blessings to the happy couple.
He shared: “On behalf of my family, I give my full blessings to this wonderful couple, Damarie Saada and Martin Nyaga. Remember God and let him be in the center of your marriage. Keep close the words of Proverbs 24:3-4, ‘by wisdom. a house is built, and through understanding it is established; through knowledge, its rooms are filled with rare and beautiful treasures.”

While Kalonzo has been a prominent figure in Kenyan politics for nearly half a century, his daughter Damarie has largely stayed out of the public eye.
A lawyer by profession, Saada has built an impressive career, focusing on International Human Rights Law.
Damarie’s career has been dedicated to advancing human rights. Currently, she is working towards her PhD at Leeds University, continuing her passion for law and human rights.
Before starting her PhD, she worked as a Communications and Programs Associate at Amnesty International Kenya.

Uhuru attends Kalonzo Musyoka’s daughter wedding
Former President Uhuru on his part rocked an African print shirt with a fedora hat and black trousers.
At one point, he also removed his fedora hat to pose for some photos.
This was the first public appearance for Uhuru who former was last spotted at the episcopal ordination and installation of Peter Kimani of the Diocese of Embu at the University of Embu grounds.
He delivered a much-anticipated speech during an event which was also attended by President William Ruto, Deputy President Prof. Kithure Kindiki and former DP Rigathi Gachagua.

Uhuru refrained from commenting on current affairs and left the crowd cheering when he mentioned that he follows the happenings on television just like other Kenyans.
“I don’t have much to say, nowadays I just watch television and listen to radio,” he said.
Uhuru called for peace and asked leaders to shun away tribal politics. He further stated that leaders and Kenyans should work together to ensure the country moves forward.
“Let us pray for a country, pray for peace, and understanding between the leaders and the people. Let us love one another and stop tribalism. We are all Kenyans, and the country cannot succeed if we are divided and insulting one another,” Uhuru said.
The former head of state said political leaders should respect the people and they will return the favor.
