The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has clarified that it will not convert already-printed paper logbooks into eLogbooks during the transition to the electronic logbook system.
In a statement on June 11, NTSA added that the eLogbooks will only be generated upon application, payment, and completion of motor vehicle registration-related processes, and will be accessible exclusively through a user’s personal account on the NTSA service portal.
“Following the successful transition to the eLogbook, the Authority provides an update that the Authority shall not convert already printed paper logbooks to eLogbook,” read part of the statement.

The authority further stated that only registered motor vehicle owners can download their eLogbooks.
It added that the authenticity of the eLogbook can be verified through the NTSA mobile application or service portal.
NTSA also warned the public against fraudsters, stating that it will never request personal details via social media, WhatsApp, SMS, or unofficial channels, and that no officers or third parties are authorized to issue eLogbooks on behalf of clients.
The authority urged vehicle owners to avoid sharing sensitive information such as ID numbers, vehicle details, or login credentials, and to report suspicious accounts or messages for action.
