SHA-Approved Private Hospitals and Clinics in Kisumu [LIST]

Under the Social Health Authority (SHA) framework, Kisumu County has both public and private hospitals and clinics.

The Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu is the best-known Level 5 healthcare facility within the SHA-approved health facilities framework.

Agha Khan Hospital is under the framework recognized as a private teaching and referral hospital.

Further, in Kisumu, SHA has approved several Level 4 hospitals that provide surgical, maternity, and specialized treatment services across the county.

Level 4 SHA-approved facilities include Avenue Hospital, Nightingale Medical Center, and Port Florence Community Hospitals in Kisumu.

Other health facilities in the Level 4 category include Bloom Surgical Center Limited, Kannika International Ltd, Masaba Hospital Ltd Maseno, and Kisumu Specialists Hospital, among others.

Facilities such as St. Luke’s Medical Center, St. Jairus Hospital, Kilimani Hospital, and Africa Inuka Hospital Ltd are SHA-approved and have branches in Kisumu and Milimani.

Further, in the Level 4B category, SHA has approved that Innovation Eye Center Ltd provide specialized treatment.

The Innovation Eye Center Ltd facility is dedicated to the SHA and offers ophthalmic health services.

Specialized surgery services to the residents of Kisumu can be offered through the Bloom Surgical Center Limited, Star Hospital Kisumu Annex, and the Jaduong’ Fanuel Onyango Agumba Memorial Hospital.

Residents in the Maseno area can seek Level 4 medical attention from the Masaba Hospital Ltd and Vikam Hospital Ltd.

Kisumu has health facilities offering maternity and inpatient nursing services at Levels 2 and 3B.

At the Level 3B, nursing home facilities include Ahero Medical Center, Maisha Medical Clinic, St. Georges Medical Center, and Rachar Sugarbelt Nursing & Maternity Home, among others.

Further, in Level 2, Kisumu has several medical clinics and dispensaries such as Hannicons Medical Clinic, St. Vincent DePaul Community Clinic, and the Maseno University Town Clinic.

Under Level 2, the Kisumu Dental Center and Iris Eye Clinic provide specialized services under the category.
