Garissa County Public Service Board has announced 173 vacancies in the county’s Department of Health as part of a new public service recruitment drive.
The vacancy declaration was issued by the Garissa County Public Service Board on August 7, 2026, under reference CPSB/RCMT/ADVT/011/VOL I/26.
“Pursuant to the above constitutional and legal provisions, the Board wishes to recruit competent and qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions in the Department of Health,” the notice read in part.
According to Garissa County, the vacancies cover 25 positions, including Medical Officers, Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Clinical Officers, Community Health Assistants and Pharmaceutical Technologists.
The largest number of vacancies is for Registered Nurse III, with 40 positions, followed by 30 Community Health Assistant III positions and 20 Enrolled Nurse III positions.
This recruitment also includes 10 Registered Clinical Officer III positions and 10 Nutrition and Dietetics Technologist Officer III positions.
Other advertised positions include Medical Laboratory Technologist III, Radiographer III, Orthopedic Technologist III, Dental Technologist III, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist and Public Health Officer.
The vacancies further cover support and technical roles, including Artisan I (Electrical), Office Administrative Assistant II and Information Communication Management Officer III.
Garissa County instructed that all applications must reach the Garissa County Public Service Board by August 21, 2026, at 4:00 p.m.

Garissa County, in its advertisement, confirmed that applicants are required to submit an application accompanied by a detailed Curriculum Vitae, certified copies of academic and professional certificates, testimonials, a National Identification Card or passport, and Chapter Six clearance certificates.
