Tharaka University has announced vacancies in both Academic and Administrative positions on September 16.
In a notice issued through the office of the vice-chancellor, the varsity called on qualified and experienced individuals to apply for those positions.
Successful candidates will be tasked with playing a vital role in providing strategic and visionary leadership at the university.
All interested applicants are required to visit the varsity website which is https://tharaka.ac.ke/careers/.
If you log in at the website link you will be directed to fill out a Google form. The Google form contains six categories: Personal Information, Job Position Information, Education, Work Experience, Job-Related Qualifications, and References.
How to Apply
Under the Personal Information category, applicants will be required to provide details such as full name, mobile number, email address, postal address, country of residence, county of residence, gender, current employment status, and whether they identify as a person living with a disability.
Elsewhere, under the Job Position Information one is required to select which division he or she is applying for.
The job division contains two selections namely the Academic Division and Administrative Division.
In the education category, candidates are required to list their academic qualifications starting with the most recent.

They should include the years attended, the different levels of education, the courses pursued, and the institutions where they obtained their qualifications.
Another category to be filled is the work experience category.
Here, candidates are required to indicate the positions and organizations they have worked for previously, along with the periods they served in those organizations.
Under the job-related qualifications category, candidates are supposed to fill in job qualifications related to the position they are applying for.

Further Instructions
They are supposed to highlight the details of their achievement, and the institutions they have served before that make them suitable to apply for the positions they desire and indicate whether they belong to a professional body.
Under the references category, candidates are required to list three people who the potential employer can get in touch with to assess their suitability for the positions they applied for.
Applicants are also required to mention the relationship with their references and indicate their email addresses and phone numbers.
Additionally, applicants are required to upload their cover letters, curriculum vitae (CVs), and testimonials to the application form as indicated in the university application form.
For the testimonials, applicants have been urged to upload them as a single document.
As per the notice, applicants have been directed to submit their applications by Friday 11th October, 2024 at 11:59 p.m., addressed to the Vice-Chancellor.
