A court has granted Deputy President William Ruto order to hold his last rally at the Nyayo National Stadium.
Ruto’s Democratic Alliance (UDA) has sued Sport Kenya after it was blocked from accessing the venue.
UDA had initially been allowed to use the venue, but the decision was later revoked.
Sports Kenya informed UDA that the venue had been booked for another function on the material day.
UDA alleged that the government was using underhand tactics to lock them out of the Nyayo stadium in favour of Azimio candidate Raila Odinga.
However, Azimio has confirmed that it will hold its last rally at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
FORD Kenya leader Moses Wetangula had said that they will hold their last rally in the Nairobi CBD should they be blocked from Nyayo stadium.
DP Ruto’s UDA party shared a receipt indicating it had secured the venue.
IEBC has set the August 6 as the last day for official campaigns ahead of the August 9 polls.
Both Kenya Kwanza and Azimio are gearing up for their last rallies in the Capital City.
The last rallies are normally used to marshal last political support and show political might ahead of the polling day.
