Patrick Makau King’ola is a Kenyan politician affiliated with the Wiper Democratic Movement – Kenya.
He has served as a Member of Parliament for Mavoko Constituency and is recognised for his political activities in Machakos County.

Patrick Makau King’ola completed his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education at Kagumo High School between 1982 and 1985.
He proceeded to earn his Kenya Advanced Certificate of Education from Nkubu High School between 1986 and 1987.
Makau then attained a Diploma from Strathmore College between 1988 and 1990, followed by a Bachelor’s degree (I.B.B.) between 1991 and 1993.

Career Background
Patrick King’ola began his professional journey in the insurance sector as a Claims Officer at Kenya National Assurance from 1988 to 1989.
He later joined Standard Chartered Bank as Operations Manager, serving from 1991 to 1998.
In the early 2000s, he transitioned into private enterprise, working with Branded World in sales and IT services from 2004 to 2005, and then as Managing Director at Xexus Technologies from 2005 to 2006.

He entered public service as a Councillor for Mathwani Ward and Chairman of the Finance, Staff & Planning Committee in Mavoko around 2007 to 2008, then moved up to become Mayor of the Municipal Council of Mavoko between 2009 and 2012.
In 2013, King’ola was elected Member of Parliament for Mavoko Constituency, a role he has held continuously through re-elections in 2017 and 2022.
He has played an active role in parliamentary committees, serving in the Departmental Committee on Finance, Planning & Trade, and the Lands Committee during his first term. In the second term, he served as a member of the Defence & Foreign Relations Committee, later becoming Chairman of the Sports, Culture & Tourism Committee from 2020 to 2022.
