Biography
Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi is one of the top-rated dispute resolutions lawyers in Kenya.
His experience spans over two decades and over the years he has the privilege to litigate numerous landmark and precedent setting cases involving complex legal issues.

In 1990, after completing his undergraduate studies, he earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree with honors from the University of Nairobi. This foundational education laid the groundwork for his subsequent achievements in the legal field.
Following his graduation, he pursued further professional qualifications at the Kenya School of Law, where he obtained a Post Graduate Diploma in Law in 1991. This diploma enabled him to gain practical experience and practice law in Kenya.
Building on his academic and professional accomplishments, he went on to attend Cornell University in the United States. There, he earned a Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in 1992, further enhancing his expertise and solidifying his standing in the legal profession.
Experience
Ahmednasir was the Lead Counsel for the Office of the President in the Waki Commission investigating the 2007/2008 post-election violence in Kenya.
Similarly, he has been involved in numerous precedent setting and landmark court cases that have shaped various legislative and regulatory frameworks across a broad range of legal matters in Kenya.
In addition, he was the lead counsel for the former President Uhuru Kenyatta in the 2017 Election Petition at the Supreme Court of Kenya.
Likewise, he has acted for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission in the Supreme Court Election Petition on the 2013 Elections.
Abdullahi has also undertaken consultancies for the World Bank, UN Agencies, State Corporations, NGOs and the Government of Kenya in complex and wide-ranging legal matters.
He has arbitrated in various matters with the current matter being a dispute of over 10 billion Kenya Shillings. In addition to his active service at the Law Society of Kenya, he taught law at the University of Nairobi for over 12 years
