Rebecca Tonkei Noonaishi is a Kenyan politician and the women’s representative for Narok County.

Rebecca Tonkei began her formal education at Emarti Primary School, where she completed her Certificate of Primary Education between 1977 and 1983.
She then attended Moi Girls High School in Eldoret for her O-Level studies and earned the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education between 1984 and 1987.
From 1989 to 1992, she studied at Shanzu Teachers College and obtained her Primary Teacher Certificate.
Later, she pursued higher education at the University of Nairobi, earning a Bachelor of Education between 2002 and 2005.

Tonkei’s professional career began in education, serving at Nkokolani Primary School under the Teachers Service Commission.
She worked as an Assistant Teacher from 1992 to 1999, followed by a promotion to Deputy Head Teacher from 1999 to 2000, and then Head Teacher from 2000 to 2003.
Between 2006 and 2007, she took on an administrative role as Human Resource Officer at the Teachers Service Commission, advancing to Chief Administrative Officer of Discipline from 2007 to 2009.
Transitioning to the Parliamentary Service Commission, she served as a Research Officer from 2009 to 2013
Rebecca Tonkei then progressed to Principal Human Resource Development Officer from 2013 to 2017.
From 2018 to 2022, Tonkei held a senior leadership position in the Office of the Deputy President, serving as Deputy Director of Peace Building & Conflict Management.
In 2022, Rebecca Tonkei vied for a parliamentary seat as a women representative for Narok County, which she won.
