Legendary comedian Daniel Ndambuki alias Churchill has called on Kenyans to support Eric Omondi give a befitting burial to his younger brother Fred Omondi.
In a statement on June 20, Churchill mourned the death of Fred Omondi and revealed that plans are underway for his burial.

“Dear Friends and Fans, Sorrowfully, Eric Omondi and ourselves, lost our younger brother Fred Omondi on Saturday 15th June 2024 through a road accident. Eric is in the process of making arrangements to give Fred a befitting sendoff back at home,” Churchill said.
Additionally, he reminded Kenyans to come through at his time of need given the instances he has showed up for fellow Kenyans through his “Sisi kwa Sisi” initiative.

Churchill urged Kenyans of goodwill to provide financial support to aid in Fred’s funeral arrangements.
“It’s our time to hold him and support him as he has done to so many of us. Kindly spare a thought for him during this difficult time. Any financial contribution can be channeled directly to him on 0726 959 111 (Eric Omondi) Lets hold him up in love, light and support,” he added.

Likewise, entrepreneur and influencer Faith Makau, also known as Amberay, echoed Churchill’s appeal for support and shared the contact details for making contributions.

Churchill Honors Fred Omondi
Following the death of comedian Fred Omondi, Churchill announced that he was organizing an event in honor of the late comedian.
The event, titled “Fred Omondi’s Last Laugh All Stars,” will be held at the Carnivore Simba Salon on June 21.
In a social media post on June 18, Churchill announced the event and provided further details about it.
“This Friday at Carnivore!! From 6pm. So many things are happening so soon. Sad. But this Friday…. Let’s do it for Freddy, like never before. We shall all be there, see you soon,” the statement read.
Captain’s Lounge Holds Candlelight Memorial for Fred Omondi
In a separate event, Kenyan celebrities converged at Captains Lounge and Grill along Mombasa Road to hold a candlelight memorial in honor of the late comedian and MC Fred Omondi.
Captains Lounge and Grill is the joint where the late comedian used to perform every Wednesday and is also the last location, he was seen alive before the unfortunate incident.
The event dubbed as last dance was held on June 19, 2024, and saw his fans and former colleagues including Chipuykeezy, Doctor Ofweneke, 2 mbili, Sosuun and DJ Crème de la Crème among others

Sisi Kwa Sisi Movement
Eric Omondi has been actively involved in aiding Kenyans through his “Sisi kwa Sisi” movement (“Us for Us” movement).
His latest initiative included his efforts to rescue victims affected by the recent floods in Kenya.
Fred died in a tragic road accident along Kangundo Road in Nairobi on Saturday morning, June 15, 2024.
