Madtraxx later dropped the DJ tag before releasing his two first hits, which made him become a household name in the entertainment industry; ‘Get Down’ and ‘Boda Boda’.
According to Muchiri, his success with these two songs would be attributed to the opportunities and platforms that were readily available to him.
After this release, Madtraxx teamed up with Genge singer Mejja and Kid Kora to form The Kansoul. This music group achieved quick success through the several hit songs that they produced back-to-back.
The Kansoul
Some of the hit songs by The Kansoul include ‘Nyongwa’, ‘Twenzetu’, ‘Piga Mboko’, and ‘Zimenishika’.
The group, however, did not stick together for long. Kid Kora was the first to exit leaving Mejja and Madtraxx. After a few years, the two also went separate ways citing artistic differences, which marked the end of The Kansoul.

Being a producer, Madtraxx produced most of his songs in his studio along Thika Road. He is said to come from a well-off family that owns The Luke Hotel and Roasters Grill on Thika Road.
Fans of the musician look forward to his return to the music industry with most stating that his talent was exceptional.
“Maddy is a great guy, he was a great boss to me before The Kansol went down, so much to talk about but what you need to do is request him to play you the unreleased songs, you’ll be shocked at the amount of quality and hits they didn’t release,” stated Abbas Deejay.
