Entrepreneur and Social Media influencer Kennedy Rapudo has denied involvement in gold scams and money laundering.
Taking to his Instagram stories, Kennedy stated that the fact that he keeps his sources of money private doesn’t mean that he is involved in money laundering otherwise known as ‘wash wash’.
“Just because someone decided to keep his life private life and keep sources of his money private does not mean they are involved in gold scams,” stated Kennedy.
Kennedy Rapudo calls out critics
While stating that he is not the kind of person to engage in such illegal practices, he dared netizens to seek to find out the truth to go to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) to find out.
“Gold Scams? Wash Wash? Those are not my lanes, and they never will be. I’ve never been involved in anything illegal and never will be if you are curious. The best place to find answers is from the people doing those things and the DCI-not me,” added Rapudo.

He urged those accusing him of engaging in these illegal practices to instead channel their energy towards more important things such as fighting bad governance. He also called them out for not questioning him when he was poor.
“Back then when I was poor, why didn’t they question my sources of poverty? Are they jealous or hungry? Our focus should be on holding leaders accountable and not losing sleep over a private citizen’s wealth,” stated Rapudo.

They often show parts of their lavish mansion as well as Kennedy’s luxury vehicles, including a Range Rover Sport.

Rapudo has been on the receiving end over his sources of wealth that is not publicly known, something that has led to Kenyans online linking him to gold scams and money laundering.
This is not the first time he has addressed these allegations as in 2023, he addressed the allegations in an online interview terming them as baseless rumours.
He stated that he prefers to keep his sources of income private with only family and close friends knowing about them.
