TikTok sensation Isaiah Carrier popularly known as Baba Jimmy is an American fluent in Swahili with deep Luhya accent, living in Western Kenya.
Isaiah carrier went viral after his ‘Mama Jimmy’ TikTok video went viral and showed his mastery in Swahili language. Likewise, the video Isaiah is seen introducing his wife as ‘Mama Jimmy ’and he cues her to address their audience.
“Ndio huyu Mama Jimmy wacha aseme moja mbili” he said. (This is Mama Jimmy, let her say something).
His wife alias ‘Mama Jimmy’ responded saying that he is her husband, and he loves her very much.
“Huyu ni mume wangu nampenda na ananipenda, kwa wale ambao wanasema hanipendi hiyo ni shauri yenu, na nampikianga ugali na kuku,” Judith asserted. (This is my husband. We love each other, I don’t care about haters. I always prepare for him ugali with chicken stew).

The 24-year-old American has become a household name with many Kenyans including celebrities jumping to his TikTok challenges.
Likewise, the couple has attracted a large audience on Tik Tok having more than one hundred and sixty thousand followers and 1.2 million likes.
Isaiah recounts his family’s journey to Kenya, which began in 2012 when his father landed in the country for missionary work. The family, consisting of eleven children, relocated from Indiana, United States, and settled in Kiminini, Transzoia County.

At the moment, the couple resides in Matunda, Moi’s Bridge, Kakamega County.
Baba Jimmy and Judy’s Love Story
The TikTok star recalled how he first met Judy, through her brother who was working as a translator for his father. Furthermore, he explained that it was not easy since most people were not honest with him.
Judy would also get negative comments that her ‘white’ lover was only in the country for some contracts, and he would leave her behind and go back to United states.
“Wengine walikua wananiambia mzungu ataniacha, eti wanakujanga tu Kenya contracts ikiisha wanarudi kwao,” she recalled. (Some people warned me that my white lover will go back to his country once his contract in Kenya is over).

The couple reminisced about the trials their faith endured during the early stages of their relationship, including attempts by witchcraft to end their union. Currently, they have two children, aged five and three years old, respectively.
‘Ni watu tu wengine hawakua wanatupenda, wengine wanatumia uchawi na hirisi kupata kile wanataka,” he said. (Others used witchcraft on us to try and get what they wanted).
A proud Missionary
Isaiah, a missionary, operates Wajumbe Records, his homemade studio, from where he produces gospel songs. His music is available on YouTube, where he has released several tracks.
Embracing content creation, he finds joy in sharing his music. One of his catchphrases, “Moja, Mbili,” has contributed to his growing following on TikTok, as his captivating content continues to attract views.
