Digital Content Creator, Kennedy Matiko Rioba popularly known as Babushka has melted the hearts of his fans after helping to construct a bridge in Kasarani.
Through his Instagram posts, the content creator announced the launch of the new bridge in Kasarani’s Garage area.
“Today We launched Our Bridge at Kasarani and through @babushka.foundation we are grateful for your support and love towards this achievement,” shared Babushka.
“This is a sign of giving back to the society The struggle is over now the Joy is here. Thank you all who made it happen. God Bless You All.”
The content creator had earlier appealed to Kenyans for support in raising funds for the transformation of the bridge that was formerly a perilous crossing point with car tyres.
He further noted the risk conditions faced by both him and local children who traverse the area regularly.
Babushka Raises Money to Build the Bridge
“This Is the Place I pass daily to go and play football in the field thou risky. How about Children who pass here and go to School? Kenyans Kindly Let’s Unite and build here a Bridge,” the tiktoker pleaded.

Babushka later shared the construction updates in a short Instagram video that captured workers engaged in the construction process.
“Were on site. Hopefully we going to have a bridge here. Thank you all who have made it happen,” read the caption.
In a video that has gone viral, the new bridge is well decorated with balloons and ribbons, with school children already using it to cross the stream with ease.
Reacting to the development, Kenyans following him on social media appreciated his efforts with some questioning the role of local leaders.

Additionally, others confirmed their political support if the tiktoker ever made a move for any elective seat.

Similar Incident
Subsequently, his initiative comes a month after Comedian Eric Omondi with the help of other Kenyan constructed a bridge in Kisii county.
The bridge had gone viral after a video surfaced showing a small girl crossing over it while flooded.
The comedian later confirmed the success of his agenda in a video that he posted showing himself and the girl, Shirleen Kemunto walking over the upgraded bridge.
Babushka is a law graduate from Kisii University and is widely known for his bravery that saw him rise to fame as a content creator despite his disability.
In a past interview with The Kenya Times, Babushka revealed his political aspirations noting that he was keen to get into leadership in the future.
