A South African school has been forced to issue a public apology to parents after photos of a renowned socialite with its students near their school bus emerged online.
Through an official apology mailed to parents and subsequently published online, the school, PEPPS Polokwane Preparatory School distanced itself from the socialite who appeared in the photos with her undies exposed.
The indecent images which surfaced online on Thursday, September 22, were first posted on social media by the socialite identified as Queen Minaj.
According to the school’s management, the photos were taken without their consent.
The school further disclosed that it is in no way associated with Queen Minaj.
PEPPS Polokwane Preparatory School, through its statement assured parents and the general public that they had reported the photos to Facebook and were following up the issue to ensure they are pulled down and the socialite duly punished.
“We have reported the photos to Facebook and we shall follow up this matter to the fullest extent. PEPPS will not tolerate being exposed in this negative light.” Read the statement in part.

Netizens drawn from different countries took to various social media platforms to air their views following the school’s apology.
Some social media users openly noted that there was nothing wrong with the socialite taking photos with the students regardless of her dress code.
Others, however, insisted the socialite crossed the line by showing up at the school, rather near the students while dressed in skimpy outfits.
The socialite, Queen Minaj had not issued an apology as at the time of filing this report.
