Kenyan musician Boutross Munene has become a hot topic on Twitter following rumors that his nude photos have been leaked online.
On Saturday, March 11, 2023, the “Angella” hitmaker was trending on Twitter, with fans trying to get their hands on the alleged images.
The story originated from blogger Edgar Obare’s Telegram channel before being widely shared on Twitter. Despite the virality of the supposed nudes, Boutross has not released a statement addressing the matter. Some of his fans have been tagging him on Twitter, hoping for a response.
Unfortunately, Boutross is not the first Kenyan celebrity to be the victim of alleged social media leaks. Recently, media personalities Betty Kyallo and Azziad Nasenya were trending for the same reason. However, they denied the allegations.

Betty and Azziad addressed the fake news in two separate statements, with Betty threatening to take legal action against those who started the rumor. She stated that the fake news was an attempt to tarnish her brand, which she had built over the past decade. Betty said,
“We have been assured that any persons(s) and/or blogs or social media accounts found guilty of originating the false news will be prosecuted.”
On the other hand, Azziad called on Kenyans to stop cyberbullying and learn to celebrate things that uplift them.
“We should not be in the business of creating false information around such topics because if you are spreading such information, then you are being an enabler of cyberbullying which is not cool,” she said.
It’s important to note that spreading fake news and cyberbullying can have severe consequences, including damaging reputations and affecting mental health. Therefore, verifying the information before sharing it on social media platforms is crucial.
Although Boutros Munene’s alleged nudes have caused a stir on social media, the musician is yet to respond to the rumors.
