As the much-anticipated 2024 World Rally Championship (WRC) kicked off on Thursday March,28,2024, Kenyans from all over the country showed up in large numbers to witness the competition.
The event was launched by President William Ruto at the Kenyatta International Conventional Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.
Speaking during the flag-off event, President Ruto implored rally fans to use the opportunity to celebrate the Easter Holiday with their families.
“This is truly a special Easter holiday gift to millions of families to bond over a thrilling spectacle. You really can’t find a rally as tough, compelling, beautiful and rewarding as the one in Kenya,” said the president.
The Kenya Times has compiled a list of popular fun joints where locals and tourists can gather for entertainment, relaxation and socializing in Naivasha.
Fisherman’s Camp
This campsite on the shores of Lake Naivasha offers a relaxed atmosphere with beautiful views.
It is a great spot for camping, fishing, boat rides and bird watching. They often have live entertainment music from local and international artists.
Individuals can also watch hippopotamus grazing at dusk from their tents that have installed toilets, hot shower and a fully equipped cottage in case one prefers to sleep in.
Lazybones Restaurant
Lazybones is a fabulous eco-bar and restaurant decorated with various species of plants and big colorful cushions.
The restaurant offers different forms of entertainment including a great selection of music and an ideal place to lie down, relax and read.

Well known for its coveted cocktails, Acacia Grill and Club located along Mama Ngina Road should be your first stop if you are looking to relax in a serene environment, far from noise and rowdy crowds.
