The Council of Governors chair said residents still have confidence in the leadership of President Ruto and they are optimistic that he will deliver his promises.

She noted that with the availability of the fertilizers, farmers will be able to increase production.

CoG Chairperson
Notably Anne Waiguru is serving her second term as a Governor of Kirinyaga and also as the chair of the Council of Governors in Kenya.
After her re-election as CoG Chair, Waiguru revealed that she would focus on fully devolving functions and resources as well as increasing revenue allocation to counties.
Additionally, Waiguru promised to look for ways to support counties in improving their own source revenue.
Waiguru was first elected as CoG chairperson in September 2022 after she defeated Kajiado Governor Ole Lenku who had been fronted by Azimio.
She served as Devolution Cabinet Secretary in the former President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government.
