Betty Kyalo’s Statement
In a statement on her social media platforms, Betty Kyalo confirmed that her beauty salon “Flair by Betty” will be auctioned.
Kyalo said rent has become an obstacle to businesses in Kenya amid the hard economic situation forcing many of them to close down.
“Many Kenyans are going through the most in business. Many people have closed businesses in this country. I let it go, but Flair will be back. Just a matter of time,” she said.
“Obviously running a business in Kenya has become so difficult. Landlords don’t want to reduce rent and it becomes a huge burden on businesses that are struggling because of the economic slowdown.”
Betty Kyalo launched the salon in 2018 after quitting the Posh Palace Hair Studio and Spa which she co-founded with her then best friend, Susan Kaittany.
