Police officers have arrested a fifth year Machakos University student accused of killing his lover, who was also a first-year student at the same university.
While speaking to the media on Wednesday, January 10, the caretaker of the apartment where the fifth year resided said that the lady came to visit at arounds 10:00 am on Monday, morning.
However, at around 3:00 am, the student called his friend to tell him that he had found his girlfriend dead in the house.
The caretaker Daniel Musela, also indicated that the student approached him and told him that he had found the lady dead in his house.
“He told me that he had found the Kisii girl that he was dating dead in his house. I asked him how it happened, but he did not explain.
“He rented the house last year and told me that he was a fifth-year engineering student at Machakos University,” stated the caretaker.

Police Reveal New Details About the Death of the Student
At the same time, the Machakos Directorate of Criminal Investigations officer Nzioka Singi said that they found the body of the student tied back and blood was oozing from her nose and ears.
Singi also indicated that there were no signs of struggle at the scene. The officers are waiting for a postmortem examination for a conclusive report on the manner of death.
“We are holding the key suspect who is Chrispin Omondi Odhiambo. He is the person who will tell us what happened,” he added.

The suspect was arraigned in court under miscellaneous charge and will be charged with murder once the investigations are concluded.
Reports of the Death
Earlier, the first-year student at Machakos University was reported to have lost her life because of stab wounds allegedly inflicted by her boyfriend.
Reports also indicated that the boyfriend stabbed the student to death following a heated argument.
The first year was found with stab wounds on her torso near the neck which may have led to her losing a lot of blood.
However, the now main suspect and boyfriend maintains his innocence in the case, saying that he found her lover tied up and killed in his room.
