Kilifi Chief Officer for Blue Economy Rahab Karisa was stabbed to death by her house help on Thursday, July 20 at her home in Mnarani Kilifi County.
Reports say Rahab had returned home on Wednesday, July 19 from a work-related trip to Italy.
Moreover, a private guard said the house help escaped before officers from a private firm arrived for their morning duties.
Kilifi County Commander Fatuma Hadi confirmed the incident, adding that they have launched investigations into the murder.
“We visited the scene and managed to recover the knife used to kill her. She had a visible injury, but we hope to get more answers after the post-mortem.” Hadi stated.

Hadi also reported that they are yet to establish the motive behind the murder.
“We don’t know the motive, but we will know. We are at the scene,” she said.
According to the police commander, Rahab’s body was found lying on the floor with stab wounds.

Nonetheless, the Chief officer’s lifeless body has been moved to the Kilifi Hospital Mortuary pending an autopsy.
