Migori County has 469,019 registered voters, according to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
The county is situated in southwestern Kenya, is divided into eight constituencies, each with a significant share of the electorate and its own elected representative in the National Assembly.
Nyatike tops the list with 73,432 registered voters, followed by Uriri with 65,063 and Kuria West with 62,244.
Rongo accounts for 59,181 voters, while Suna West and Awendo have 56,686 and 55,972 voters, respectively.
Suna East, represented by Minority Leader Junet Mohamed, has 54,465 registered voters while Kuria East, the constituency with the least number of voters, has 41,976 voters.

The political landscape of Migori shows a strong presence of the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), which holds six of the eight parliamentary seats.
These include Rongo, represented by Paul Abuor, Awendo by John Walter Owino, Suna East by Junet Mohamed, Suna West by Peter Francis Masara, Uriri by Mark Ogolla Nyamita and Nyatike by Tom Mboya Odege.
Kuria West and Kuria East are held by the United Democratic Alliance (UDA), represented by Mathias Nyamabe Robi and Maisori Marwa Kitayama Kemero, respectively.

Migori County is located in the southwestern part of Kenya, bordering Homa Bay County to the north, Kisii County to the northeast, Narok County to the southeast, and Tanzania to the south.
It also borders Lake Victoria to the west. The county’s administrative headquarters is Migori Town.

Migori is home to a diverse population consisting of several ethnic groups, primarily the Luo, Kuria, Suba, and smaller communities of Luhya, and Kisii.

The economy of Migori County is largely driven by agriculture, trade, fishing, and mining.
Sugarcane, tobacco, maize, and bananas are some of the key crops grown in the region.
The county also benefits from fishing in Lake Victoria, which supports both subsistence and commercial fishing activities.
