Family of detective Felix Kelian has broken silence after a ruling that freed six suspects involved in the murder case including Joseph Mwenda alias DJ Joe Mfalme.
Speaking to a local media house, the family member by the name Jackline Koin, disclosed that they were in constant communication with the deceased, a senior officer at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) prior to his death.
The family member further revealed that the deceased had confided in them that the attack was carried out by more than one person.
In addition to that, the family member alluded to possible obstruction of justice and pleaded with the court to unravel all the mystery surrounding their brothers’ death.
“We have seen we are not likely to get justice, because when the case is just beginning and six of the seven suspects have just been freed, it is important for people to know we spoke to our kin before he died,” she said.
Further Family Details on Murder Case
According to the family member who narrated the sequence of events preceding their kin’s death, the key suspect being held responsible for the murder is a worker of one of those freed on Monday, April 8.
Narrating the incident, the family member reported that that their kin was beaten up, arrested and taken to the police, taken to the cell and released the following day upon which he went for treatment.
Notable the family members went ahead and blamed the police for their laxity in dealing and responding to the deceased plea as they did not react when their kin was being beaten.
“The police officers were actually witnessing as the deceased was being beaten and therefore to us this not the way to go, we feel that so much is being hidden,” protested the family member.
