Kenya’s beauty and tourism fraternity is mourning the passing of former Miss Tourism Kenya, Lilian Musau, who died peacefully on Tuesday, 27th January 2026, at 7:00 pm, following a brief illness.
Gospel singer Daddy Owen has paid tribute to his close friend and former Miss Tourism Kenya, Lilian Musau, following her death.
Lilian Musau passed away on Friday, January 27, 2026, at around 7:00 pm Kenyan time, according to a message shared by Daddy Owen on his Facebook page on Saturday, January 31, 2026.
In his post, Daddy Owen described Lilian as a dear friend and college mate, expressing deep sorrow over her passing. He confirmed that she was a former Miss Tourism Kenya and said she “went to be with the Lord.”
“It is with deep sorrow that I share the passing of my dear friend & college mate, Lilian Musau, a former Miss Tourism Kenya, who went to be with the Lord,” he mourned.

According to a previous post shared by her family, the former Miss Tourism Kenya had earlier been hospitalised at Nairobi West Hospital due to liver complications.

“I’m humbly reaching out for your prayers and support for our dear Lilian, who’s been hospitalised for just over 3 weeks. She was in the High Dependency Unit (HDU) for a while, but for the last 8 days she has been in the general ward, where she is recovering well,” read the family statement shared publicly on January 26.
Her treatment placed a significant financial burden on her family, prompting them to publicly request financial support.
Hospital account details were shared to facilitate contributions from well-wishers to assist with her medical expenses, which had accumulated to KSh 655,000.

Kenyans Mourn Musau’s Death
Media personality and events guru Chris Kirwa also paid tribute, describing her as a dear friend whose courage stood out during her final days.
He revealed that Lilian had spent about a month in hospital, where she bravely battled illness before resting peacefully.
“She rested peacefully in God’s presence,” Kirwa shared, while also announcing funeral arrangements on behalf of the Musau family.

Lilian Musau Ndinda is a highly experienced and safety-conscious flight attendant with over 10 years in the aviation industry.
Lilian completed a Cabin Crew Duties Diploma at the Institute of Commercial Management in England in 2002.
She also earned an IATA/UFTA Foundation Diploma in Tourism and Travel Services Management from Travel Operations in Montreal, Canada, the same year.
She worked as a Senior Inflight Attendant at Emirates Airline from July 2007 to September 2018 in Dubai, serving in Economy, Business, and First Class. She delivered exceptional inflight service while maintaining safety standards and developed strong customer service and insight skills.
Prior to that, she was an Inflight Attendant and Cabin Crew member at Pakistan International Airlines from June 2006 to May 2007, where she ensured quality standards and upheld a positive company image.
From June 2004 to June 2006, she served as an In-flight Attendant at East African Safari Air Express Ltd, focusing on passenger safety, timely response to queries, and quality service delivery.
In June to July 2003, she represented Eastern Province as Miss Tourism in Kenya, promoting tourist destinations across the country. In December 2002, she worked as a facilitator for a website launch at Myjobseye Kenya Ltd, hosting guests, ensuring their comfort, and managing attendance records.
