Several students from Pwani University were injured, while fourteen others are feared dead in a road accident on Thursday, March 30, when the bus they were traveling in overturned on the Nairobi-Naivasha Highway in the Kayole area.
The bus was carrying over 30 students on their way to Eldoret to participate in a sports competition.

The accident occurred after the bus collided with a 14-seater matatu before overturning. Students traveling in the bus were seen helping each other out of the wreckage following the incident.

Preliminary reports suggest that the brake failure of the bus caused the accident, although this is yet to be confirmed. The incident caused traffic disruption, and police and emergency responders arrived to deal with the situation and restore traffic flow on the highway.
So far, fourteen are feared dead, and the students injured in the accident have been rushed to nearby hospitals for medical attention. The severity of their injuries is yet to be established.
