Family Bank, through its Foundation, has partnered with the Military Wives Association of Kenya (MWAK) to launch a technical training programme for 50 dependents of the Kenya Navy.
This initiative aims to provide young individuals aged 18-25 with essential skills in plumbing and electrical installation.
It focuses on equipping these young men and women with practical skills that are increasingly in demand in today’s job market.
By doing so, the programme seeks to empower them to contribute meaningfully to the economy and their communities.
In a statement to the press, The Family Group Foundation noted that the program is part of a broader effort that has already benefited 100 dependents from both the Kenya Defense Forces and the Kenya Air Force.

Furthermore, the training program not only equips participants with practical skills but also prepares them for internships and apprenticeships
The Kenya Navy beneficiaries will undergo the same comprehensive three-month training and will receive construction starter toolkits worth Ksh 50,000 to support their entry into the job market.
