The Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) has placed MotorHub Limited, a Nairobi-based car dealer, under administration.
The move, announced in a gazette notice dated November 7 and effective November 4, 2025, comes amid financial challenges at the dealership.

“Pursuant to the regulations of the Insolvency Act, take notice of the appointment of an administrator of the above-named company. Address of Registered Office: L.R. No. 209/18345, AAC Building. Registered Postal Address: P.O. Box 42983. Nature of Business: Motor vehicle dealer,” read the notice in part

As Administrator, Marima is the only person authorized to handle the company’s assets, including receivables, and to collect any monies due to the company.
Anyone attempting to transact on behalf of MotorHub without the Administrator’s written approval risks legal action.
“By virtue of the Administration, no one other than the Administrator is authorized to receive any monies due to the Company or to deal with the assets (including, without limitation, any receivables of the Company),” the notice read further.
“Anyone who holds, receives, uses, attempts to buy or sell assets of the Company, or otherwise deals with them without the prior written approval of the Administrator, is acting in contravention of the law and will be exposed to legal redress. The Administrator acts as an agent of the Company and contracts without personal liability.”

Company Issues Notice to Creditors
In a follow-up notice, the Administrator requested that all creditors of the company submit their claims, along with supporting documentation, by 5:00 p.m. EAT on Monday, December 8, 2025.
Any creditor who has not submitted their claim as well as proof of debt by this date shall be excluded from the benefit of any statement of proposals to be prepared by the Administrator in the course of the administration and subsequent distribution.
“Take notice that all Creditors of the Company are required on or before close of business 5 p.m., EAT on Monday, 8th December, 2025, to prove their claims to the undersigned Administrator,” the notice read.
“Take further notice that all debts and claims against the Company should be accompanied with supporting documentation in proof of their debt or claim against the Company.”

The notice emphasized that the Administrator acts as an agent of MotorHub and is not personally liable.
MotorHub is a car dealership incorporated in Kenya, specializing in the importation and sale of new and used motor vehicles.
Vehicles in its dealership are sourced from Japan, Thailand, the United Kingdom, Australia, South Africa, and a range of other countries to ensure a diverse selection of units that meet market demand.
