Earlier Closure of Thika Road
The previous time Thika Road traffic flow was interrupted was on February 3, when Kenyatta University students staged protests.
Motorists using the superhighway at the time endured a traffic snarl-up after the students blocked part of the road.
“As at now avoid Thika Road at KU, we repeat, avoid Thika Road at KU on your way to Thika. The road has been closed again, no movement. Heavy traffic,” motorists were warned.
The Kenyatta University students were marching to the anniversary towers over the delayed HELB disbursement.
