Traffic Impact on Benny Hinn Crusade
The announcement came ahead of a mega crusade by American televangelist Benny Hinn dubbed “Healing the Nation Crusade” expected to take place on Saturday, February 24, and Sunday, February 25.
The crusade is scheduled to take place at Nyayo Stadium marking a historical moment as the televangelist would be coming to Kenya after more than two decades since his last visit.
In September 2023, Benny Hinn revealed that First Lady Rachel Ruto had invited him for a government-sponsored crusade in Kenya.
However, the events steering committee clarified in a statement on February 13, 2024, that the crusade was not funded by the government.
They indicated that the crusade was being organized entirely by Kenyan churches.
“The event has been organized, funded and coordinated by the churches of Kenya, which include both mainstream and evangelical churches in Kenya, with the aim of connecting the body of Christ in Kenya with the global body of Christ,” a statement read by Bishop Harrison Ng’ang’a read in part.
