A family of a Kenyatta University student is in distress after their son went missing on the night of September 28.
According to the mother, the son went missing after attending party with friends.
“On September 26, my son called his father and asked him to buy a laptop that a friend was planning to sell to him for Ksh 15,000.
The father sent the money on Thursday, and on Saturday, my son went missing. When we tried to call him, he was unavailable,” the mother said.
Jonathan Nabwera, the missing Kenyatta University student, was reportedly invited to a graduation party by his friend Joash, according to a close friend of Joash who saw them together at the event.

“I called Joash and told him, ‘My friend is graduating. Can you come?’ and he said, ‘I will come.’ That day, he came with a friend, and they didn’t even stay long,” the lady recounted.
The lady further revealed that Joash and Jonathan did not stay long at the party because Joash’s cousin had called Joash so that they could meet.

Joash’s cousin at the time was at a nearby entertainment joint located at the Business Center along the Eastern Bypass.
According to Joash’s cousin, Calvin Wachana, he noticed Jonathan had been gone for a while after leaving their table, prompting him to ask Joash where he was.
“So, I asked him while we were outside, where is your friend Jonathan? I’m not seeing him with you.’ He told me, ‘The last thing Jonathan said to me was that he was looking for the washrooms,”Wachana asked.

He also asked Joash the last time he spoke to Jonathan when he visited the washrooms, and he told him that they had spoken about 10 minutes ago.
Joash and his cousin waited for Jonathan to return from the washrooms, but he did not show up.
This prompted them to call him, but all his phones were going through but with no response.
