DNA results have confirmed that Wilkister Ososo, a 27-year-old hawker who was reported missing on June 19 in Mukuru Kwa Reuben, was among the women murdered and disposed at the Kware dumpsite.
According to the family, despite the confirmation, they have been stopped from burying their kin.
Speaking to the press, Wilkister’s Aunt said that after the DNA confirmation, they were informed that there were some body parts still missing.
The police had only retrieved the torso of the 27-year-old, and it was destroyed beyond recognition.
“We went to the lab for DNA tests. The results came out and we were informed that it was positive. The body was found but just the upper torso.
“The lower part of her body is still missing and therefore we have been told that they cannot release the body for burial,” Georgia Ososo, Wilkister’s Aunt said.

Family Demands Justice After Kware Murder Suspect Escapes
Officers from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) went to Wilkister’s home to interrogate her mother as investigations into the case continues.
However, the mother said that she was defeated about the matter because the police were not showing any signs of progress.
Additionally, she lamented that after they were issued with the DNA results, the prime suspect escaped custody, leaving them even more hopeless on finding justice for Wilkister.
“What pains me is that the child got lost and her body was found. Her phone was found in the house of the prime suspect. But later we heard that the main suspect escaped custody.
“The DNA results came out a day before the man escaped. The police told us that we would get justice, but how will we get justice?” Celine Ososo, the mother, questioned.
The government has since halted the retrieval of the bodies dumped at the site.

Prime Suspect Escapes Custody
On August 22, Senior Principal Magistrate of the Milimani Law Courts released the five police officers accused of aiding the escape of 13 inmates from Gigiri Police Station including Kware murder suspect Collins Jumaisi.
Later, the acting Police Inspector General Gilbert Masengeli confirmed that eight officers already faced interdiction following the incident.
On the other hand, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) sought the public’s assistance in providing information that could help re-arrest Collins Jumaisi, noting that there was a significant cash reward.
Jumaisi was a top and high-value suspect and had been remanded there pending plea that was to take place on Friday August 23.
Moreover, he is alleged to have confessed to killing up to 42 women, who he dumped at the Kware site.
However, he later claimed, through his lawyer that the police tortured him and forced him to confess to the murders.
