The Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has published the 2024/2025 placement results.
Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu released the placement report that placed 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) students to different universities and institutions of higher learning on Tuesday, May 21, 2024.
KUCCPS opened the portal for applications on April 19, 2024, for the 2024 Second and Final Revision of Choices and set the deadline on Wednesday April 25, 2024.
As part of the Ministry of Education’s drive to ensure every student gets a slot at an institution of higher learning, KUCCPS asked applicants who failed to secure a course they had selected to student.kuccps.net and choose available courses as listed on the portal.
On the other hand, form four leavers seeking training opportunities in Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) centers and other colleges who had not applied were also encouraged to do so.

How to Check Placement Results
The students can get their placement results by access the KUCCPS portal students.kuccps.net using their personal details.
To log in, students are required to provide their username (KCSE full index number), year (2022), and password (birth certificate number).
Once on the platform, the student will see a message on the dashboard with details of their placement, in the format.
Additionally, they can access their placement details by sending an SMS with their Index Numbers without any space or slash to 20842.

KUCCPS is expected to send messages to registered phone numbers about the success of the placement.

Institutions Where KUCCPS Will Place Applicants
According to KUCCPS, there are 40 Public Universities and one Open University of Kenya that is eligible for Government Scholarship and Higher Education Loans Board (HELB) Loan.
Additionally, there are 30 Private Universities in Kenya that are eligible for HELB Loan only, 248 Public Colleges and Technical and Vocational Education and Training Authority (TVETS) eligible for government loans.
Also, the placement service will post students to 128 Public Colleges including KMTC and colleges in other ministries. There are also 20 University TVET institutions where students are placed.
